One of Pursuit Recruitment’s designated charities for 2010 is the

UNICEF Children of Morocco Appeal.

Staff from UNICEF will be trekking in the Sahara from 6th - 14th November 2010 through a region of Morocco to raise funds for UNICEF's Children of Morocco Appeal. They will be visiting a UNICEF project in the Ouarzazate area.

UNICEF is working in a number of areas to improve the lives of the country’s children. One of their key programme areas is child protection. This covers issues such as child labour, sexual exploitation and violence in schools.

UNICEF is also working to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates. These are particularly high in rural areas where women don’t always have access to the right health care. To address the problem, UNICEF is supporting maternal waiting houses, which provide a safe haven for expectant mothers and their families.
